This week we are learning about constructivism and how we can integrate technology in this learning theory. Constructivism is a theory that says that people learn best when they are able to create an artifact and share it with their peers. Michael Orey presented the fact that power point is a great tool to have students create an artifact. I my first grade classroom, used Kidspiration to create artifacts. I can utilize technology to make a project-based, problem based, or inquiry based approaches seem more approaches more seamless is by using literacy centers.
Literacy centers where I implement technology I can foster a sense of accomplishment and independence by teaching students to write stories in Kidspiration. When children can see a pictures on kidspiration and write stories and sentences about a given picture, I can encourage them individually at their level and allow them to mature and develop at different rates. The children's worked can then be displayed for them to interact with their peers.

I also believe that students learn more by doing. Not only are the students learning through an activity, but they are also using technology. The Kidspiration program sounds really cool. I will have to learn more about the program and try to implement it in my future classroom.
