Our school is implementing subject area PLC's within our school day this year having subs cover our classes for 2 hours every 6 weeks so we can meet. I'm the facilitator of a Reading PLC, yet I don't actually teach Reading- I'm the G/T Facilitator for our school doing testing and teaching for all our gifted students in a pull out program.
I would like to hear some ideas from those who have been involved in a PLC, particularly in the subject of Reading, to see what your group enjoyed, focused on, topic ideas etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Maybe some magazine articles, book study ideas for the topic as well. Thank you.
