I taught in a Title I, rural community and parental involvement in the classroom was an issue. Most parents did not come to the school until "they" felt there was a concern. I implemented some things in the classroom to get parental involvement. Parents came to our classroom celebrations, class programs, made copies, hung up artwork and student work, and helped with reading groups. It worked but wondered what other teachers in the same situation were doing and helpfully get some more ideas. Thanks.
