NEA.org - The National Education Association
WebQuest.Org - An interactive webbased learning tool where kids get to learn about new things using the internet. Find searchable, interactive web activities for students of all ages in all subject areas or create your own.
Big6 - At my school the Big 6 are posted in the library, which makes sense because the Big 6 are about information and technology skills for student: seeking information, access and use, etc.
Landmark Project - This site represents one man and many others, who want to create change in our schools so that our students and children are ready for the future, prepped with 21st century skills and technology literate... oh and engaged too.
XtraMath.org - This is an engaging site by a Seattle web developer (David). A non-profit site aimed at helping students master their math facts, it has several interactive activities which produce fantastic data to track student learning. Just starting out, so contact David and ask him to add your school, and don't forget to tell him how you found his site.
MyWritersWorkshop & MyReadersWorkshop - These are fantastic resources to help educators implement guided writing/reading curriculum by providing lesson idea, detailed book lists, and other resources.
Blog Roll - Some blogs we enjoy on a regular basis!
2 Cents Worth - The blog for David Warlick, a 30 year educator, who has been a classroom teacher, district administrator, and staff consultant with the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction. His web site, Landmarks for Schools, serves more than a half-million visits a day with some of the most popular teacher tools available on the Net.
Elementary Teacher Blog - This site is home to a teacher who has taught 4th grade for a few years and recently moved to a new school to teach third grade. Her entries range from useful and creative teaching ideas to funny truisms about the career of teaching.
