Using Constructivism in today's Elementary Classroom

This week we are learning about constructivism and how we can integrate technology in this learning theory. Constructivism is a theory that says that people learn best when they are able to create an artifact and share it with their peers. Michael Orey presented the fact that power point is a great tool to have students create an artifact. I my first grade classroom, used Kidspiration to create artifacts. I can utilize technology to make a project-based, problem based, or inquiry based approaches seem more approaches more seamless is by using literacy centers.

Bridging Learning Theory with Instruction and Technology

In this new fast paced society we live in, the echnology all around us causes us to go and think at a faster pace than years past. When it comes to education, during the next eight weeks I will be exploring theoretical foundations for technology use in the classroom and ways to incorporate technology with instructional strategies to support and facilitate learning.
